Hi, i’m elli Brown!

From the time I was in high school, I knew I wanted to be an accountant and I looked for any opportunity that I could to gain experience. My first job was in a little hometown grocery store where I started filing all their bills, counting drawers, and recording deposits. After that, I worked under a CPA employed by a local bike shop that had grossed 2 million in sales in a year, as an office manager of a large CPA firm in Denver Colorado, as a front office manager in a CPA firm in upstate New York. In that office, I quickly progressed from the office manager to staff accountant where I handled the bookkeeping for 20 clients and assisted with the tax preparation for those and other clients. Working from the bottom up, I gained insight into the many needs of small business owners and my passion for helping them grew. The relationships I have built along the way have been invaluable to me, and I feel that is what makes my approach unique.

As you get to know me, you will discover that I am a down-to-earth person who loves simplicity. I am detail-oriented and accuracy-driven and love numbers! I work efficiently, effectively, and ethically. I love solving puzzles and I see a lot of what I do as an Accountant working with small business owners as just that, solving puzzles. I am resourceful and have gained knowledge and honed my skills while observing leaders in my industry along the way.

What you can find me doing outside of work

  • Petting Farm Animals

My boys and I are animal lovers and until we can have a farm of our own, we find any opportunity to pet other people’s farm animals.

  • Exploring Parks

With two young active boys, my husband and I are always looking for new places to explore! We love all of the parks and state parks around us.

  • Church & Fellowship

Fellowshipping with like-minded believers and building community is important to us. Currently that is with SBTS students and their families.

  • Traveling

We love to travel as a family, whether short daycations or longer vacations. We have family in New York State, so we frequently drive there to see them.
